The Executive committee of ISOCARD will met at Djerba from 1 to 6 April 2008 in order to prepare for the next ISOCARD conference. The second announcement of ISOCARD2009 will be ready in April 2008. The programme of the meeting is the following:

 1-April : arrival of the member of Executive Committee

2-April (Djerba): * Morning: 2nd ISOCARD Conference organization with local partners

                  * Afternoon and evening: Internal meeting of ISOCARD EC

3-April : Field visit :

- Milk production unit (IRA Chenchou + farm El Hamma)

      - visit tour for social events at ISOCARD2009

 4- April:  Camel Fattening Centre visit at Tataouine

                  Visit of Arid land Institute at Medenine

 5- April morning: departure to Tunis: meeting with the National partners for ISOCARD organizations (OEP, IRESA, MESRT).

 5 or 6-April: return

The Executive committee of ISOCARD met on the 2nd of April 2008 at Maritim Hotel Yadis, Djerba, Tunisia (Venue of the Conference) to prepare for the next ISOCARD conference. The second announcement for ISOCARD 2009 Conference will be prepared by the host institute (Aridland Institute) within two weeks.

Announcement

Abstract Deadline Extended

 At the request of the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Second Conference of ISOCARD the abstract deadlines for contributed papers have been extended. The new deadline is November 30th. As of October 23rd only about 40 abstracts have been received. No other change of fixed dates is necessary. The organizing committee and ISOCARD executive Council would like to ask all ISOCARD members to support this important scientific event on Camelids by submitting their abstracts ASAP.
